Job Description

A Mining house based in the North West region is looking for an experienced Chief Rock Engineer

Duties:

Responsible for providing strategic leadership and governance for rock engineering, strata control and geotechnical risk management as well as to ensure effective implementation of rock engineering standards, support systems and geotechnical controls for safe, sustainable mining

Qualifications/Requirements: 

BSc (Honours) Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related Geotechnical Discipline

Chamber of Mines Certificate in Rock Mechanics (Hard Rock or Metalliferous) 

Members of SANIRE 

At least 8 years of rock engineering experience within underground hard rock mining
